CROCK POT CHILI

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1 pound beef round steak, R-T-C -- cut into 1/2" pieces
1 cup onion -- chopped
2 medium celery ribs -- cut into 1/2" slices
2 14 1/2 oz. cans diced tomates -- undrained
2 8 oz. cans tomato sauce
3 teaspoons chili powder
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup green bell pepper -- cut into 1" dice
1 14 1/2 oz. can kidney beans -- rinsed and drained
GARNISH:
shredded fat-free cheddar cheese
green onions -- thinly sliced
1. Mix all ingredients except bell pepper, beans and cheese in 3 1/2 to 4
quart crock pot/slow cooker.
2. Cover and cook on LOW heat setting 6 to 7 hours or until beef and
vegetables are tender.
3. Stir in bell pepper and beans. Uncover and cook on HIGH heat setting
about 15 minutes or until slightly thickened.
4. Serve with cheese and green onions.

Yum. I really like chili. This is pretty close to how I make mine. I always make mine a little different though as I don't always follow a recipe.

This one has trumped my husband's chili because he used to only like his and has since stopped making his. He still makes the best lasagna though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
